Comic Review: Angel # 14

Angel #14

A rash of deaths that can only be explained as spontaneous combustion hit the area. Police are stunned. They have no leads expect for one witness that claims it was a girl. They try to explain it away as chemical but when Angel comes around, he knows there has to be more to the story. When he digs deeper and finds Bethany, the girl responsible, he finds out she's alone and terrified. And the sad thing? Someone from home is responsible for her nightmare.

It seems these stories are all about kids all of a sudden. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see Angel doing what he does best: taking care of those that really cannot take care of themselves. It is nice to have variety in the story.

This story shows us that not everyone at home is as good as we hope they are. We also see that some people are just cruel to children because they can be. It's really a sad story. However, true to Angel's character, he is able to make things a little better for Bethany.
