Dead Until Dark: A Sookie Stackhouse Novel
Summary: Sookie Stackhouse is just a small town cocktail waitress with a gift, or a curse, whatever you want to call it. She is telepathic. That makes her love life screech to a halt, but the rest of her life continues on. Vampires are now legal creatures in society and it's illegal to kill them. She's always wanted a vampire to walk into her bar, and then he does. Sookie ends up saving Bill from two humans that are low on the food chain and he returns the favor. Who knew that Sookie Stackhouse, a cocktail waitress would eventually fall in love with a Vampire?

My thoughts: I was a bit skeptical at first but I had books 3-7 or so in paperback form and I didn't want to begin reading in the middle of the series. When I picked up the first book, I thought it began kind of slow, moving into a fast momentum and then finally building up to a pace where all the action began to take place. Yes, this is another one of those 'regular girl falls in love with a Vampire' stories, but it's not Twilight thank goodness. It has a different air to it, there is a plot and it makes sense. Sookie is a likable character. If you like mystery and thrillers, this is a book you should consider giving a chance. There is one plot twist at the end that I did not see coming.

Welcome to Scrawled in Blue

I've always been a bookworm. I've loved books for as long as I can remember. However, as it often does, life got in my way and it sort of prevented me from being able to read as much as I would like to.

I simply didn't have the space, or the money to really bring in more books. I live in a small cramped space as it is. However, I recently got into another book series on a whim and I decided that I missed reading and maybe I should venture back into the world of books.

I decided to buy myself a Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology  from Amazon. It really solves a lot of my problems. It's light weight, it allows me to read books without having actual books to sit around and clutter shelves, and the books for Kindle are often quite cheap.

So, this blog will be a personal blog full of book reviews. I will make it a point to review as many of the books that I read for theKindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology  as possible. Happy reading!
